When opening an account, members are required to “go green” by enrolling in online bill pay, online statements and the Affinity OneCard debit/ATM card, which are all paperless. As another benefit, participants in the program qualify for free checks printed on recycled paper, the credit union said.
“We’re rewarding members for going green,” notes Donna LoStocco, vice president, member experience. “Green Rewards Checking allows Affinity members to increase their yields as they increase their balance and cut down on paper.”
Affinity’s high-yield Green Rewards Checking has no fees, no minimum balance requirements, no penalties or time limits for accessing money, free checks (on recycled paper) and unlimited check writing privileges.
