Plans call for moving all check-processing operations to Cleveland as part of a larger effort to consolidate all the Fed’s check processing operations in one
office.

The move will mean an end to any item being considered “non-local” under Regulation CC. Reg CC sets longer check availability schedules for non-local
items. After 12:01 a.m. Feb. 26, paper forward and return items that previously would have been processed in Atlanta should be delivered by mail or courier to the Cleveland office.
