Triton Systems has introduced a new wireless option on its ATMs. The company said that monthly costs on wireless access are now in most cases less than that of dial-up lines, and that transaction times are increasingly comparable with leased lines. "Plus with Triton's wireless communication option, ATM owners do not have to pay an additional fee for the installation of a dedicated phone line," said company President Brian Kett. The new wireless option uses 1XRTT technology, which is a 100% digital data service provided by wireless carriers that use CDMA technology. It is available anywhere regular cell service on CDMA technology exists.
