AUSTIN, Texas – Austin Telco FCU has bought a 75,000-foot office building that will house its new headquarters, the latest area credit unions with plans for larger new offices.

The $1.2 billion credit union has acquired Balcones Centre, a 75,422-square-foot multi-tenant building at Research Blvd. in northwest Austin. The credit unions said it plans to locate its main offices and a branch in the building.
Several area credit unions have announced big headquarters plans over the past year, including A+ FCU, which has acquired a 60,973-square-foot office building in northeast Austin and University FCU, which has purchased a 246,000-square-foot office building on MoPac Boulevard, where it plans to relocate its headquarters.
