DEARBORN, Mich. – The former Rouge (Works) Steel CU representing Ford auto workers, is celebrating its makeover to community charter as a result of its recent merger with Chief Financial FCU, with special loan and CD deals.
The one-time auto-workers credit union is celebrating its grand reopening this week with exclusive rates, food and raffle prizes. The building was recently remodeled and updated. The lobby now boasts bright accent colors, a lounge area and WiFi service.
This week’s celebration is also aimed at letting residents know they do not have to work at Ford to be a member in the credit union.
New auto loans are being offered with rates as low as 1.3%. The loans, which can come with $100 cash back, require a $5,000 minimum.
CDs are being offered at 1.25% for 12 months. Those must be new deposits with a minimum $1,000. New adult savings accounts opened during the week will be entered in a drawing for an iPad, and new children accounts will be entered in a raffle for an iPod.
