The robber, known as the “Bad Hair Bandit” for his disguises, was charged with robbing Y-12 FCU in Jacksboro, Tenn., and L&N FCU in Williamsburg, Ky. on Dec. 1, 2011. Police got a break when it was determined the getaway vehicle in that heist was a 2004 black Suzuki Forenza with a missing gas cap. Police traced the vehicle to Tasha Fox, the bandit’s wife, through a traffic citation she received in 2010.

Jason Fox is scheduled for sentencing Aug. 15. He could receive as much as 24 years in prison and be ordered to pay more than $79,000 in restitution to the five Kentucky and two Tennessee institutions that were robbed.

His wife, Tasha Fox, in February pleaded guilty to driving the getaway car in six of the seven robberies.
