BB Gun-Armed Assailant Convicted Of $21,800 Heist At HarborOne CU

BOSTON – A Quincy man yesterday was convicted of robbing a HarborOne CU branch in Brockton in 2010 while armed with a BB gun.

Michael Burns, 28, was wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt with the hood over his head, dark sunglasses, a white mask over his face, black pants and white latex gloves when he entered the credit union. He forced tellers to fill two maroon pillow cases with cash before fleeing.

Burns was caught a short time later next to the maroon pillow case containing $21,816 in cash and the BB gun.

He is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 23.
