WABASH, Ind. – Officials in Plymouth approved a three-year tax abatement to induce Beacon CU to build a new branch that will add 10 jobs.
Debate on the measure focused on the boost the new branch, the credit union’s 17th, will have on the local economy. The 10 new jobs are estimated to add a payroll of about $300,000 a year. Credit union officials said they generally hire local people for such jobs.
