PROVIDENCE, R.I. – A man fitting the description of the “Bearded Bandit,” who has hit six area credit unions and banks this year, robbed a Pawtucket CU branch in east Providence on Tuesday.
The heavily bearded man demanded money from a teller around 3:30 p.m., then escaped on foot, according to police.
The Bearded Bandit is wanted in a string of robberies in New England since February.
