HARRISBURG, Pa. - (06/17/05) -- Belco Community CU, a multiple groupcredit union serving over 500 select groups, has applied to stateregulators for one of the most expansive community charters in thestate. The application submitted to the Pennsylvania Department ofBanking would allow the $250 million Harrisburg credit union toserve almost 1.7 million residents in the seven surroundingcounties of Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perryand York. Separately, the state regulator sad it has approved arequest from Fairless CU, in Morrisville, to serve the 650,000residents of Bucks County.
