HARRISBURG, Penn. – Belco Community CU celebrated its 70th anniversary Friday with refreshments, gifts, and a $70 Visa gift card giveaway at all branches.

In the credit union’s first year, 279 Bell Telephone employees joined, and assets were approximately $7,218.
After 70 years, the credit union is now 47,700 members strong with approximately $293 million in assets and 11 branches throughout central Pennsylvania.
In 2005, Belco converted to a community charter, opening membership to those who live, work, or worship in Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon, Perry, and York counties.
