SWATARA TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Belco Community CU held a weekend open house to celebrate its new headquarters building here, just outside of Harrisburg. The $275 million credit union will occupy 33,000 square feet on the second floor of the three-story building and lease the other two floors. The project cost about $7.2 million, including $4.2 million to purchase the building from Sovereign Bank and another $3 million for renovations. The credit union has nine branches and is building two more.
