TAMPA, Fla. - (05/17/04) -- GTE FCU has become the latest creditunion to strike a sponsorship deal with a major league sports team.The $1.7 billion credit union said it has signed a deal with theTampa Bay Devil Rays baseball team that will include ATMs at theteam's Tropicana Field, ads at the stadium and on televisionbroadcasts, as well as offer financial services to Devil Raysemployees, players and coaches. Several other credit unions havesigned major league sports sponsorships, including Community CUwith the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League and the NorthIsland CU with the San Diego Padres baseball team.
