WASHINGTON - (10/04/04) -- Almost two dozen credit unions wontechnical assistance grants last week from the CommunityDevelopment Financial Institutions Fund, with several grants goingto help credit unions develop their bilingual programs. RenaissanceCommunity Development CU, in Somerset, N.J., received $27,645 tohelp develop marketing materials in Spanish. Syracuse CooperativeFCU, Syracuse, N.Y., won $62,924, to help it create marketinganalysis, translation of its web site and lending documents intoSpanish. Several other CDCUs won small grants to help them expandor start financial literacy programs, add technology, and explorenew programs, like small business lending or credit/debitcards.
