TUKWILA, Wash. – BECU yesterday said it has contracted with TuVox, a Cupertino, Calif., provider of on-demand speech applications, to provide it with a self-service phone system.
The $7.5 billion credit union currently is redesigning its telephony infrastructure. The project will include changes to several legacy touch-tone applications that service checking and savings accounts, credit cards, loans and other services.
The loan choice speech solution is being re-implemented as a TuVox-powered Natural Language Speech application. BECU also will introduce a new branch and ATM locator application. A TuVox Perfect Router call routing application will navigate callers to the desired destination using a natural language “how can I help you” style interface. This will simplify the user interaction, and allow callers to more quickly get what they want.
