OSHKOSH, Wis. - A local man who tried to extort $3 million from Prospera CU by making a bomb threat has been sentenced to six months in jail.
Frank Brookins, 52, also was placed on probation for two years on a felony charge of extortion against a financial institution.
Brookins, who was arrested Aug. 16 by Menasha police, had another felony charge of making a bomb scare dismissed.
Brookins served five years in prison in the 1980's for making similar threats.
