Branch Exec Jailed For Scheme

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - A former branch manager for The Golden 1 CU who admitted to stealing more than $73,000 through fake withdrawals was sentenced last week to 180 days in jail and ordered to pay restitution to the credit union.

Cora Perryman, 62, was managing the credit union's Redding, Calif., branch when she stole the money from six account holders between June 2004 and June 2006.

Perryman has already been released from jail because of overcrowding and will serve her time by spending days working on county corrections crews.
