Branch Manager Guilty Of $56,000 Theft

LEAVENWORTH, Kan. – A former branch manager of Mainstreet CU on Friday pleaded guilty to stealing more than $56,000 from the credit union.

Melinda Riddle, 38, used the credit union’s computer system to withdraw money from other people’s accounts and the general accounts of the credit union. She also obtained unauthorized loans and money from checks. The transactions were processed to her as cash in her personal accounts.

The thefts occurred between January 2009 and November 2009.

She is scheduled for sentencing on April 4.
