Breach Forces Yolo To Twice Reissue Cards

WOODLAND, Calif. - Yolo FCU last week said it is reissuing credit and debit cards for its members whose card information may have been breached. In a warning letter to members, the credit union said it was notified by Visa that there was a possible breach of "multiple merchant locations" and that there may be unauthorized access to member data files.

The $200-million credit union first warned of a breach May 31, and it sent out new cards. On June 10, the credit union sent out another warning, and sent out new cards, canceling existing cards. Yolo did not identify the merchant that was compromised.
