Brother, Sister Jailed For Botched CU Heist

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A woman who unsuccessfully tried to rob a Charlotte Metro CU branch in January, and her brother who drove the getaway car, were sentenced to federal prison terms yesterday.

Crystal Logan, 26, handed a note to a teller demanding money and mentioning a gun.  When the teller did not immediately turn over money, Logan fled in a car driven by her brother, Alfred Logan, Jr., 30, according to authorities.

Crystal Logan was sentenced to a little more than five years in prison and Alfred to 14 years in prison because he was deemed by the judge to be a “career offender.”
