FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – NCUA said it has granted Broward Healthcare FCU a TIP charter to serve the healthcare industry in Broward County.

The action will allow the $32 million credit union to serve all employees at assisted living facilities, blood and organ banks, health clinics, HMOs, hospices, hospitals, nursing homes, pharamacies and rehab centers throughout the county, just north of Miami.
NCUA awarded just eight TIP charters in 2008, all but two of them for the healthcare industry.
