GOLDSBORO, N.C. A man believed responsible for at least three ATM break-ins over the weekend was caught inside an ATM at State Employees’ CU early Monday morning as he was trying to break open the cash safe.
The suspect, identified as 35-year-old Lorenzo Farrow, was found around 1:45 am when police responded to an alarm and found the back door of the ATM had been pried open and Farrow was inside. A security camera was also covered in white spray paint. Police say the suspect had been trying to force open the cash container inside the ATM when he was arrested.
The suspect, believed to be responsible for ATM break-ins at another SECU branch and a Bank of America since Friday, was charged with three counts of breaking and entering, three counts of safecracking and one count of possession of burglary tools.
In all three cases police say the burglar was not successful in getting to the cash.
