Calif. Group Meets With Congressman

The California Credit Union League's new Credit Union Advisory Committee met last week with California Rep. Joe Baca (D-San Bernardino) to discuss net worth and business lending limitations contained in the FCU Act, and possible legislation to remove these limitations.

"Our meeting with the congressman was an open dialogue on pending legislation, with a positive outcome and a commitment to continue discussing related issues in the future," said Larry Sharp, CEO of Arrowhead CU, in San Bernardino, which played a key role in setting up the meeting.

Seven California congressional representatives, including Baca, currently serve on the committee.
