The victim, Wesley Person, 26, and other accomplices in the loan scheme were supposed to split the proceeds with Justin Glover Jr., one of the defendants. But after Person cashed checks for $20,000 on Dec. 23, 2005, he didn’t pay Glover, authorities said.
When they found out, Glover, 26, and Lawrence Murrell, 23, caught up with Person and got their revenge. The last time anyone saw Person alive was the night of Dec. 23, as he was getting into a car with Glover and Murrell.
Person’s body was found burning in a ditch off Interstate 83 north of Baltimore the next day with three bullets in his head.
Glover and Murrell were found guilty by a Dauphin County jury of first-degree murder, conspiracy to murder and abuse of a corpse and face life without parole when they are sentenced in April.
