Card Fraud Hits Dozens At Tennessee CU

KINGSPORT, Tenn. – Police are investigating debit card fraud involving at least 60 members of First Kingsport CU.

Fraudulent purchases began showing up over the Memorial Day weekend with transactions made in Nevada and Florida.

The credit union is issuing new cards to members and is fully reimbursing the fraudulent purchases, which range from $25 to $900. Police are investigating how thieves obtained account information to carry out the fraud.
