HOUSTON – Cardtronics on Tuesday said it completed the acquisition of Efmark Deployment’s EDC ATM business and its 3,700 ATMs, mostly in the Midwest and Great Lakes region.
The ATMs are in Sunoco gas stations and Cumberland Farms convenience stores, with numbers of them co-branded with Chase, Citizens Bank, Sovereign Bank and PNC. With the completion of the acquisition, Cardtronics now has ATM branding relationships with eight of the 15 largest U.S. banks (by assets).
The cash purchase price of $145 million was funded through borrowings under the company’s amended credit facility.
