HOUSTON – Cardtronics, which has become the largest provider of ATM services to credit unions, yesterday said it has agreed to provide ATM services in 650 Safeway supermarkets.
Thursday’s announcement follows a deal earlier in the week under which Cardtronics will provide ATMs in seven Gaylord Entertainment properties, including the new Gaylord National Resort in Washington, D.C.
Cardtronics operates the nation’s largest fleet of ATMs and provides credit union members access to ATMs in 7-Elevens, A&Ps, Chevron, Costco, CVS pharmacy, Duane Reade, ExxonMobil, Hess Corporation, Rite Aid, Safeway, Sunoco, Target, and Walgreens.
Separately, Cardtronics said Dennis Lynch, the former CEO of the NYCE ATM network, and Tim Arnoult, a former senior executive at Bank of America, have joined its board of directors.
