Cascade Community Credit Union has named Lynn Calvert as its interim CEO.
The Roseburg, Ore.-based institution said on Friday that Calvert succeeds Robert E. Dempsey, who passed away on Feb. 15 at the age of 65.
Calvert has served as executive vice president at Cascade since 2016. She formerly worked as the CEO at EWEB Employees Credit Union, now a $24 million-asset institution based in Eugene, Ore.
“The board feels Lynn is the best choice to move the credit union through this difficult time and into continued prosperity,” Sam Lee, chairman of Cascade, said in a statement.
Dempsey initially joined Cascade in April 2015 and worked for more than 40 years in the financial services industry.
With assets of $228 million, Cascade posted net income of about $3.2 million, a 50 percent increase from the prior year.
