COLUMBUS, Ind. — Centra Credit Union announced that Rick Silvers will take over as the CU's President and CEO.
The $1.3 billion CU's board said they made the selection based on Silver's experience as a leader in the financial service industry.
"We are extremely pleased to have Rick lead Centra Credit Union as CEO/President. Rick is a successful executive who brings over 25 years of experience in the financial service industry," said Board Chair Loretta Burd.
Silvers was most recently served chief retail officer at $2 billion South Bend, Ind.-based Teachers Credit Union.
"My responsibility now is to ensure that we continue to grow and develop our abilities so that we can consistently return that value. It is, simply put, about people helping people," Silvers said.
Centra, with 134,00 members, was founded by eight employees of the Cummins Engine Co. and chartered in 1940.
