During his 20 years at the helm, Horgen helped transform the credit union giant, first from an IBM employees credit union, then to a mutual savings bank last July. The conversion to a bank was one of the largest ever for a credit union.

Through it all, the institution has retained its original ties to its corporate sponsor with the Think moniker, named after the IBM Thinkpad laptop computer.
