Cessna Employees Credit Union in Wichita, Kan., has changed its name to Skyward Credit Union.
The name change reflects the credit union's history of serving the aviation industry, including Textron Aviation which was formed last March by merging Cessna Aircraft Company with Beechcraft Inc.
The company said in a press release Monday that "Skyward" projects a feeling of optimism to support financial goals and aspirations for credit union members.
Skyward currently has 15,000 members and approximately $245 million in total assets. The credit union operates three branches in Wichita and one in Independence, Kan.
