DOTHAN, Ala. – The former chief financial officer of Wiregrass FCU was charged last week with opening several unauthorized credit card accounts in her name and that of several relatives, and using the accounts to get cash advances and make purchases of more than $137,000.
Becky Hughes was charged with misapplying funds between 2000 and 2008, while she was CFO of the $40 million credit union.
She was also charged with increasing the limit on her own card to $50,000 from $5,000 without authorization.
