Since 1995, Chase and Notre Dame have partnered to provide alumni and fans a credit card that gives back to the University in support of academic scholarhips with each card purchase.
Notre Dame cardmembers can add Chase's proprietary rewards product to their cards, which helps them earn one point for every dollar spent on all card purchases. Redemption begins at 1,000 points.
In other news, Chase Card Services has enhanced its Chase Freedom card, which will offer triple rewards that are automatically adjusted based on consumers' actual month-to-month everyday spending patterns. The card, introduced in 2006, allows cardholders to switch between cash-back and reward points and has been Chase's most successful proprietary card released to date, the company said. Chase officials said the reward points are determined by and adapted to a cardmember's individual everyday spending habits, offering triple cash back or reward points in the cardholder's top three of 15 everyday categories. Chase said its patent-pending technology adjusts rewards automatically based on cardmembers' monthly spending. For customers earning cash back the more saved the more earned with $50 in bonus cash for every $200 in rewards earned and redeemed. The card carries no annual fee and also is "blink-enabled," meaning it can make contactless payments. The bank said it is also introducing a Chase Freedom for Business for business owners.
