EUREKA, Calif. – Coast Central CU awarded four community grants for a total of $50,000 as part of its Community Investment Program.

The funds went to: McKinleyville Community Services District for its new “Tot Lot” playground in Pierson Park ($10,000); Friends of the Dunes for the Discovery Coastal Wildlife Exhibit in Manila ($8,950); the Arcata Police Department for an Automated License Plate Reading System ($24,824); and, Burnt Ranch School for replacement of its emergency alarm system ($6,226).
Coast Central said it commits $100,000 each year to assist community organizations throughout Humboldt, Del Norte and Trinity counties.
