EUREKA, Calif. – Coast Central CU announced it has provided grants totaling $50,000 to three non-profits under its Community Investment Program.
The credit union awarded $25,000 to the Humboldt Botanical Garden to complete an entrance kiosk and entrance landscaping; $15,000 to the Sequoia Park Zoo Foundation to construct its Tropical Andes Biodiversity Experience; and $10,000 to the Trinidad Museum to complete construction that would provide museum access to those with physical disabilities.
The credit union provides $100,000 in grants each year, divided into two $50,000 allocations, to community groups in three surrounding counties. The second round of community grants by the credit union begins in August.
