RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.-In their third year of involvement with Children's Miracle Network's Credit Union for Kids holiday stockings program, 25 California and Nevada credit unions raised $21,571 for the charitable organization in 2001.

CCU Raises $2,351 For CMN

MADISON, Wis.-Through bake sales, paper chain links, and a raffle, CUNA Credit Union raised $2,351.58 to benefit The Children's Miracle Network.

AFCU Joins In Community Project

PHOENIX, Ariz.-Arizona Federal Credit Union participated in the annual Valley-wide Make A Difference Serve-A- Thon, where volunteers donated their time to more than 100 community projects. The credit union helped complete landscaping projects, which included building two gardens, and a picnic bench, and installing a watering system.

PSCU Donates $5,000 To CMN

FRESNO, Calif.-Pacific Service Credit Union donated $5,000 to the Children's Miracle Network as a corporate sponsor of Kids Day.

RFCU Earns 5-Star Rating

HUNTSVILLE, Ala.-Redstone Federal Credit Union received a 5-star superior rating from Bauer Financial Reports, Inc.

In additional news, Redstone FCU joined with Family Services Center to offer a family loan program that provides used-auto loans at reasonable rates for low-income families.

The credit union also held a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony for its 16th office in the Tennessee Valley area.

Redstone FCU launched its account aggregation service, which provides members free access to all their online accounts.

AFCU Reaches Milestone

BASKING RIDGE, N.J.-Affinity Federal Credit Union surpassed $1-billion in total assets, and welcomed its 100,000th member. As a result of its continued growth, Affinity FCU has relocated its headquarters to a 106,000- square-foot facility.

The credit union also announced that it has selected The Northwest New Jersey Maternal & Child Health Network as the beneficiary of its Annual Golf Invitational, which will take place in June.

RIVERSIDE, Calif.-Riverside County Credit Union awarded more than 75 school children for their artwork in the 12th annual Riverside County Credit Union Art Award Show.

OPCSFCU Helps Keep Children Safe

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.-Commissioner of Education Charlie Crist honored Educational Community Credit Union with his Commissioner's Business Recognition Award for its efforts with St. Johns County schools.

In additional news, Educational Community Credit Union was approved by state regulators to serve residents of Flagler and Putnam Counties.

WCU Raises $17,317 For Hospital

MENOMONIE, Wis.-WESTconsin Credit Union raised $17,317 to benefit Gillette Children's Hospital, Western Wisconsin's regional Children's Miracle Network hospital. All WCU offices participated through the sales of hearts and links, bake sales, chocolate rose sales, drawings, cookouts, and fundraiser meals.

CCUL Raises $5,365 For Foundation

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.-A raffle during the California Credit Union League's Big Valley Educational Conference raised $5,365 for the Richard Myles Johnson Foundation. Cathy Rios, VP-Marketing at Travis CU, won the grand prize roundtrip airfare for two to Maui, Debbie Joseph, Antioch Community FCU, won an electric scooter, and Clifford Straub, Kern FCU, won a Palm Pilot VII.

DFCU Donates $4,438 To School

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah-Deseret First Credit Union and its members donated $4,438 to Washington Elementary School. Members donated a minimum of $10 for in exchange for skipping a loan payment.

MFCU Donates Computer Equipment

DETROIT, Mich.-Michigan First Credit Union donated $3,000 worth of used computer equipment to the Golightly Career and Technical Center, a vocational school in the Detroit Public School system.
