STCU Recycles Old Cell Phones

SPOKANE, Wash.-Spokane Teachers Credit Union is collecting old cellular phones, and shipping them to a reseller to benefit the Children's Miracle Network.

RFCU Supports Community

WARNER ROBINS, Ga.-Robins Federal Credit Union, along with the Middle Georgia Chapter of Credit Unions, participated in a bowl-a-thon that raised more than $6,500 to benefit the Children's Miracle Network.

Also, the credit union hosted fingerprinting for children with local law enforcement officials, and a fire safety awareness program at Telfair Regional Hospital, in addition to a Red Cross Blood Drive held at its Watson branch, which had 35 donors.

In other news, 15 employees participated in WalkAmerica, which raised $1,650 for the March of Dimes.

KANSAS CITY, Mo.-Mazuma Credit Union participated in the Students In Free Enterprise USA National Exposition as a local sponsor, and four executives from the credit union served as judges in the competition, which had 135 teams.

PFCU Supports Hospital Auxiliary

PHILADELPHIA-Philadelphia Federal Credit Union donated $1,000 to Temple University Hospital Auxiliary's Golden Jubilee Gala. All proceeds benefit the patients and families of the hospital.

PFCU was also a sponsor of the Friends Hospital's fundraiser. The credit union pledged $500 to support their Spring Into Healing event.

In additional news, PFCU received the first place award in credit union websites at the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association's statewide convention.

LFCU Awards $5,000 Scholarship

SPEFCU Sponsors Tree Planting

BELLEFONTE, Penn.-SPE Federal Credit Union and ClearWater Conservancy co-sponsored an Arbor Day Tree Planting Celebration. Two trees were planted at Spring Creek Nature Park and 50 native Eastern White Pine seedlings were distributed to the people who attended.
