Langlois succeeds Elizabeth 'Betsy' Kindlon, who is retiring after leading the $76 million credit union for 26 years.

Langlois had served as Community Resource's chief financial officer for the past five years. He has a total of 20 years' experience in credit union management.

"Betsy's leadership and guidance enabled many changes and the credit union would not be as it is today without her vision," said Tom Ellis, chairman of

Community Resource FCU, in a statement. "On behalf of the board and myself, let me congratulate Terry on becoming the credit union's new president/CEO... We believe that he will prove to be a highly effective leader for the credit union in the years to come. We wish him every success."

In a statement, Langlois said "it is an honor to have been chosen by the board of directors to lead Community Resource Federal Credit Union. I look forward to working with the staff to carry on the credit union philosophy of People Helping People."
