CommunityAmerica CU Gets FHLB Funding for Habitat for Humanity

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – CommunityAmerica CU yesterday received an $110,000 grant from the Federal Home Loan bank of Des Moines to help finance a Habitat for Humanity project here.

The funding will help Habitat for Humanity build 11 homes in Kansas City. This the third Habitat grant awarded to the $1.6 billion credit union through the FHLB.

The funding was among $7 million in affordable housing grants awarded to members of the FHLB Des Moines and the only one awarded to a credit union.
