Compushare Buys Pifer FinancialSystems

SOUTH COAST METRO, Calif. - (04/06/05) -- Compushare, a provider ofinformation technology and consulting services for financialinstitutions, said Monday it has agreed to acquire Pifer FinancialSystems, a Barrington, N.J., provider of consulting, systemsintegration and maintenance programs for about 120 credit unionsand banks in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. The deal willhelp expand Compushare's consultative solutions group that helpsfinancial institutions in areas like Gramm-Leach-Blilelycompliance, information security and business continuity. Terms ofthe deal were not disclosed.
