Connecticut Governor Signs CU Student Loan Bill

HARTFORD, Conn. – Gov. Jodi Rell yesterday signed the state’s credit union student loan bill into law, creating a partially guaranteed low-rate loan for the state’s college students.

So far 24 credit unions have signed on to the program, which is open to all students who live or go to school in Connecticut

The loans are 20% guaranteed by the Connecticut Health and Education Facilities Authority.
