Connex CU Wants College Interns To Connect With Gen Y

NORTH HAVEN, Conn. – Connex CU is searching for one college student to serve as the credit union’s vice president of “Unbanking” and four other interns as part of its outreach to Generation Y.

The selected student will work within Connex CU’s corporate marketing department and serve as an ambassador for Connex and the "Unbank" brand.

Connex will be accepting resumes, but the selection process has a digital twist. Candidates are asked to submit a video clip, not just to sell themselves, but because the position requires video production skills.

Some of the vice president of Unbanking duties will include:

* Being responsible for Connex Credit Union's social media programs and content.

* Assisting in the development of marketing programs and projects.

* Interacting with Connex's advertising and public relations agency.

* Participating in special events and grass-roots marketing efforts.

The intern must be willing to work a minimum of 15 hours per week for the entire school year. Financial compensation and work hours will be discussed in scheduled interviews.

Interested students should visit www.unbankvp.org to apply and submit a brief video explaining why they should be the vice president of Unbanking.
