Cooperative Credit Union Association picks NYCUA official as next CEO

Cooperative Credit Union Association has named Ronald McLean as its new president and CEO.

Ronald McLean is the incoming CEO at CCUA

McLean succeeds Bernie Winne, who was serving in that capacity on an interim basis. The trade association said on Monday that McLean will take over on April 16.

The trade association had appointed Winne as interim CEO in November 2018 after Sarah Vega, chief of staff at the National Credit Union Administration, originally decided to take the position but subsequently decided to stay with NCUA.

McLean currently serves as chief engagement officer of the New York Credit Union Association. He began his career at State Street Bank & Trust in Quincy, Mass., and subsequently joined Putnam Investments in Boston.

CCUA represents credit unions in Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.
