On Monday morning officers received a tip that a man was going to attempt to rob the credit union. Police went to the branch and saw Andred Davis, 32, of Detroit attempting to go inside. Davis saw police and took off. The suspect was captured in mask and shades and a hoodie, fleeing down an alley, two blocks from the credit union.

Before his 8:30 a.m. arrival, heavily armed SWAT teams were lying in wait for Davis, both inside and outside the credit union. Police say they found a replica gun tossed into a nearby fenced in air conditioning unit, and they seized the car they say Davis abandoned two blocks away.

Davis has been charged with first degree attempted armed robbery and fleeing.
