BOSTON - (02/01/05) -- EasCorp FCU's President JaneMelchionda was honored at mid-court during last week's BostonCeltics basketball game with a 2005 'Heroes Among Us' award for herefforts creating the Credit Unions of Massachusetts Kids at Heartprogram. Melchionda helped start the charitable program eight yearsago with a handful of EasCorp members and helped raise $1.6 millionfor the Children's Hospital of Boston since then. The BostonCeltics said honorees are people who, 'based on their uniquecommitment and humanitarian spirit, have made exceptional andlasting contributions to our community.' Today 55 credit unionsparticipate in the program.
