Corporate Raises Concerns Over Privacy Law Expansion

Empire Corporate FCU representatives, together with staff from the New York State Credit Union League, Inc. (NYSCUL), "Hiked-the-Hill" in the state capital of Albany to meet with state legislators and voice concerns over the possibility of the state expanding "opt in" privacy legislation beyond current federal law.

That measure, said Empire, "could greatly affect Empire Corporate's ability to do business with credit unions."

"Empire greatly appreciated the opportunity to meet with several key legislators and discuss current topics that are important to credit unions and to their members," said Empire Corporate CEO Joseph P. Herbst.
