The so-called mobile wallet offers standard features like checking balance, account history review, fund transfers, branch and ATM location lookup and customizable alerts, and additional capabilities like access to mobile banking for non-online banking members. Members can enroll and manage their accounts directly from their mobile phone without being enrolled in the credit union’s online banking service.

Tyfone Mobile Banking is built on top of the company's u4ia mobile financial services platform that also enables contactless payments using near field communications.

The account aggregation feature allows members of the $950 million credit union to view and manage multiple accounts with just a single login.

The Tyfone system includes Jack Henry & Associates’ Symitar Episys core integrated mobile banking solution and is integrated with Online Resource’s electronic bill payment service.

"CoVantage chose Tyfone because of its unique and innovative vision of the mobile channel which is echoed in its current features as well as its future road map of features including enhanced security and NFC contactless payments,” said Robert Van Abel, chief information officer for CoVantage.

Tyfone is based in Portland, Ore.
