SAGINAW, Mich. — A member of Team One CU found $7,000 in the CU's drive through earlier this week and decided to do the right thing.
Sylvette Lloyd stepped out of her car, took the money inside the branch here and handed it over to a credit union employee. The $399 million CU later learned who had left the money behind in the drive-through transport canister.
"I took the canister out, when I looked down and opened it up there were two wads of money," Lloyd told WNEM.com.
Lloyd stopped by the credit union to withdraw a small amount of money from her account, which she acknowledged was running low. She said she could have used the cash.
"We just bought this house a year ago and it needs a lot of work, and that would have pretty much covered it," Lloyd said.
CU employee Dana Curnett said she's had people turn in lost money in her 24 years working at the credit union, but not that much.
"Not typical stories at all, you love to hear about all the good people out there, because you just don't hear about those all the time," Curnett said.
