CUES Introduces Online Means Of Measuring Best Practices

The Credit Union Executives Society (CUES) has partnered with solution-providers Virtual CEO Inc., San Juan Capistrano, Calif., to bring credit unions the "CUES Best Practices Assessment" (www.cuesbestpractices.org).

CUES said its Best Practices Assessment offers a suite of Web-based assessment tools providing credit union management feedback on organizational performance as viewed by the senior management team, board, staff and members. Virtual CEO, Inc. is a business knowledge company providing innovative answers for its clients. The relationship with CUES represents its first major introduction to credit unions.

According to CUES, the Best Practices Assessment will allow credit unions to gauge organizational performance through separate Web-based assessments conducted by the senior management team, board, staff and/or members.

Each assessment-executive, board of directors, climate plus, (taken by credit union staff), member satisfaction, (taken by credit union members), and Express, (a scaled-down version of the Executive Assessment)-contains an extensive battery of statements and criteria that participants respond to and send electronically to Virtual CEO.

"All responses foster independent thinking, are anonymous and completely confidential. From the responses, real- time results and key findings are generated and e-mailed to subscribers," CUES said. "Following report generation, a product-certified representative from Virtual CEO conducts a two-hour teleconference with individual participating credit unions interpreting assessment findings and proposed resolutions."

The goal is to diagnose and validate areas of organizational performance that have been identified as problematic and to implement action-steps for addressing them. Users will also have the capability to benchmark against like credit unions, as well as against businesses outside the financial services industry.
