MADISON, Wis. - Business development, net interest margin, and outstanding credit union lending programs are the focus of three new CUNA Council white papers.

"The Traveling Branch: Business Development's Evolution," sponsored by the CUNA Marketing and Business Development Council, examines the market and economic conditions that have helped business development to evolve into an important facet for credit unions.

"Understanding and Managing the Net Interest Margin," sponsored by the CUNA CFO Council, provides a comprehensive look at "one of the most important barometers of financial performance" in a depository institution, and how it is influenced by both internal decisions and external events. The final white paper is an illustration of the successful lending programs put together by the winners of the seventh annual Excellence in Lending Awards, presented by the CUNA Lending Council and CUNA Mutual Group.
